"Life isn’t a destination, it’s a journey."

"Life isn’t a destination, it’s a journey.
We all come upon unexpected curves
and turning points. Everything that happens
to us shapes who we are becoming.
And in the adventure of each day,
we discover the important things in
life and why they’re important."

Everything we have done, said, thought has brought us to this place where we are.
The past year, for me, has certainly brought unexpected curves and turning points. Some I needed desperately and some that I had no control over...yet each one is shaping who I am becoming.
I suppose we can all kind of say the same thing.
Six years ago I embarked on my own journey of self. I was an unfit mother of four young kids ,and at the time, very unhappy in who I was and let myself become. I was over 90 lbs overweight and didn't like who I saw in the mirror, not just the body, but who I was on the inside.
The curves and turning points in my life has also led me to a place I never imagined I'd be. The right people have crossed my path in perfect timing for leading me to where I am today. To learn and grow and discover who I am and what is important in life.
What I have discovered to be the most important thing in life is simply one thing...Love.  A healthy love of self (or a desire to love self) can change your life. And of course a healthy love of/with others in your life can be life changing. Put those together and you can truly be Unstoppable.
the Why for me has changed many times over the past six years of my own personal journey. Six years ago it was to "move away from" what I had become...an obese woman who just plain didn't like herself..from the inside out. My Why today is so much different than that why from six years ago. One of the things that has helped me to not only lose my weight but to also keep it off (and take off the 25 lbs I gained after gall bladder surgery in 2010) is the inner drive in me that just couldn't quit.
And so it is one of the reason's why I am here. I don't quit! I am learning to love self and be at peace with where I am, knowing I can only get better!
After having lost over 90 lbs and keeping it off has proven to be very inspiring to other people in my circle of influence. It is also another reason Why for me to be here. I want to continue to inspire others to do as I have done...and gonna do. At some point in the journey it isn't all about "me" anymore, it is about those other people who are where you once where. I love to encourage others in their own personal journey's. It is an amazing privilege and honor to be a part of someone else's journey.
Speaking of being a part of someone else's journey, I have met an amazing man, who even though was in the midst of his own personal "darkness," had a bright light shining from within that just illuminated so brightly. What has happened is that as a reflection of each others' "light" we have entered a vivacious circle of love and happiness that gives that feeling of being Unstoppable. As I was telling him about My Journey and the timing of our own cycles of training the timing fit perfectly. We have decided to "partner" up and do this together. (meet the Grizz).  We have decided to change things up and have joined in with some good fitness friends of mine (Dougal and Sarah MacDonald) who have developed an amazing program and a private community in which to share our Journey's together with others.
As I was out of town this past weekend through Tuesday, and had not yet read all through the Journey book we have decided to go full force with everything starting next Monday(May 7) for our "day 1" date. Going the full 12 weeks from that date will put me out about a week or so from my birthday in August. What a perfect birthday "present" to give myself a six-pack! We have been working on our macros and meal planning to meet full compliance of the program.

What a thrill to be sharing this journey with you all.
